The much anticipated, limited release BMW M4 DTM Champion Edition has finally arrived in South Africa. Of the 200 produced, all 15 sent to South Africa have been sold out.
Built to honour BMW Motorsport Works Driver Marco Wittmann (DE) who secured the DTM driver’s title in the 2016 season finale at the Hockenheimring, the BMW M4 DTM Coupé truly embodies the spirit of motorsport and M Power.
It isn’t just an exceptional collector’s item though, as the BMW M4 DTM more than holds its own on the track. Extensive measures have been taken to enhance driving dynamics, with a focus on racing technology. There is also a marked improvement in performance and a more dynamic handling which is only further supported by the lightweight construction of the vehicle.
You don’t have to wonder though, the numbers speak for themselves:
|BMW M4||BMW M4 DTM|
|Power output||317 kW||368 kW|
|Torque||550 Nm||600 Nm|
And if you’re lucky enough to enjoy a ride in one, a classy, reduced interior awaits you. Both driver and co-driver sit in M Carbon bucket seats. The entire interior of the BMW M4 DTM Champion Edition is lined with exceptionally high-quality Alcantara, and a white rollover bar replaces the rear seat system.
The car itself is exclusively available in Alpine White and Michelin Pilot Sport Cup 2 high-performance tyres complete the package.
