The 107th annual BMW SA Open Championship took place at Glendower Golf Course from the 11th to the 14th of January. It was an exciting tournament with exhilarating interactive activations and BMW X3 themed activities happening alongside the action.

The BMW SA Open is officially South Africa’s longest running golfing event and was once again hosted by the City of Ekhurleni. It was a tournament of skill, determination and more than just a touch of sporting flair. We’d like to thank all the competitors and spectators for making it such a memorable one.

Chris Paisley took the cup, finishing just 3 shots ahead of South Africa’s Branden Grace. He wasn’t the only champion on the course though, with thousands of visitors getting a chance to find out first-hand what it is like to live to the power of X with the all-new BMW X3 and thrilling zip lining, acrobungy, and abseiling activations.

You won’t need to wait for the next event to see more of the all-new BMW X3. Set to be produced in South Africa, it will be launching later this year and promises to be a tonic of any adventure.

The new BMW X3 is currently available to test drive at BMW dealerships across the country, so if you haven’t yet experienced the adventure – why not make a start and book your test drive?

If you prefer playing to watching from the side-lines, the BMW Golf Cup International is up next. It’s the largest amateur golfing tournament in world, so don’t miss out. Contact your preferred BMW Dealer for more information.
